So I'm running CM7 (nightly 164) on my Evo and noticed for a device with no moving parts it takes 3 mins to reboot. My 7 year old desktop is faster. So I know there's different things going on. I'm sure it's authenticating with carriers and like things but what's going on when the kernel boots and can I edit it? I've seen references to init.d in other forums but I'm at a loss for finding specifics. Is a CM7 kernel pretty lean? Should I just leave it alone? 2-3 mins normal for a reboot on a Evo? Thanx.
