I'm also in the category of lots of enthusiasm, but little devving knowledge (hence my "new dev, anyone?" post). Mavrimeerkat was kind enough to give me a few pointers, and I've also checked out a few books at the library. It may be a while, but I'm on my way.

This CM7 build has claimed many phones, jdog there is a little bud made from usb cables that can unbrick your phone. I will look for one and get back with you soon.

changing a file that has to do with device tree to get wifi and 3g working and no odin cant save it
