No reason, one dev is working on AOSP ICS, another on CM9, and yet another on AOKP ICS (<-- same thing as AOSP, just unmodified kernel)

Which I can't wait for all this to be completed or at least a booting to lock screen or launcher and EW did the kernel ever complie or do you wish not be asked about

Why must every thread be derailed? Wouldn't cm7 be easier? It would be cool to have it as well as

But what if people prefer GB over ics and jb some of my family are like that I'm like you are missing out on a lot my friend

Who in their right mind would prefer gb over ics/jb??? That's just absurd lol

To each their own i guess. Some people prefer windows over Linux too. It is what it is.

I Rather Have CM7 Than Stock. I Also Rather Have An Old CM7 That's Stable And Fast Than A New CM9&10 That's Buggy.
  12. I'd prefer a good CM6 over stock Gingerbread LOL.... Anything ZV* on the Connect is trash :D

Well, seeing as there seems to be a sufficient demand for it (and my ICS work has come to a halt until Feb when I get a new computer) I will have a look at porting CM7 to the Connect

Can I switch my motion with my wife's connect online? Or do I call 611. Does it cost anything?

You can always switch sim cards

you can do it online as far as I know. Just switching the cards is not enough

Doesnt have a sim card, has a uiic card which is for LTE only
  20. You can't use MPCS dot com or *228 to swap two active phones if that's the case; one or the other has to be decomissioned. You have to call customer svc for that ;) You'll have to talk to a live rep, just ask 'em LOL.

Oh, and by the way.... I wouldn't remove a proprietary UIIC card if I was U... MetroPCS already confirmed with the LG Esteem, that, if you lose the UIIC you're SCREWED and will never get a replacement! Some phones you can get a new one though

Just a question, in your opinion what is the level of difficulty porting cm7 to connect will be?
  23. OrKo

    OrKo Android Expert

If it were easy we'd all be doing it, lol. No but seriously I imagine pretty damn difficult if you're not familiar with it..
  24. EagerestWolf

    EagerestWolf Android Enthusiast

Intermediate. Porting is easy. It's getting everything to work that is a pain.

lol yeah I sort of meant how hard for HIM specifically lol.

Well I'm virtually useless but you have a guinea pig here if you ever need one. Willing to brick my own device for the cause!
