Root com.htc.bg FC

I would like to start out by saying how helped the online android community has been! You have answered all of my questions without me have to start a single thread....but it seems that I have stumbled upon a new problem, that a few others are encountering and I simply cannot find a solution.

Facbook for HTC will simply not sync with my contacts. After much internet research and troubleshooting, I believe it is because of the process com.htc.bg force closing each time I try and sync.

I have tried numerous ROMS, re-flashes, sign-ins and sign-outs, but nothing seems to get rid of this FC! Does anyone have any help out there? I'm contemplating downgrading to 1.5!

Don't know if it's related, but I was getting a com.htc.bgp FC after I went through and deleted everything that included the word 'weather'... I just did a wipe and flashed the ROM again and it was fixed.

update on the problem....I logged into facebook with my g/f's account and it stated syncing up no problem! I reverted to mine, and I get the error...how can the e-mail address affect the phone's process?
