Is the combined inbox optional, and if so, how can I toggle it off or choose not to use it?

Yes, but I'm talking about multiple personal.

Same problem, on DROID. Interesting is that I had two Gmail accounts set up under the Gmail app, but didn't have a problem until I set up the Google Voice app. Then all of a sudden, all my notifications came via my combined inbox in Email instead of through Gmail.

On my DROID, I opened the Email application (which seems to lead to the combined inbox) and made the following settings changes:

    • Email check frequency: never
    • Default account: off
    • Email notifications: off

So far, so good. This doesn't seem to have changed my regular Gmail notifications or sync schedule. I'll update if something goes haywire.

I'm not quite sure what I'm doing- but sometimes when i open the mail app it opens just one mail box then I have to fiddle around to get the combined mailbox (my own personal preference)- so there must be some way to get it to revert to one particular mailbox.

Sorry I can't give specifics but seems you can do it for sure.

I think I've messed around maybe in the menu under folders?
