Giving up my BB Storm2 for the Bionic on Verizon (yeah!!!)

    1. Can anyone recommend an app similar to Quicklaunch on the BB which lets you quickly get into your contact list selectively and very quickly allowing you to choose which contact and which method you wish to communicate (email, PIN, mobile etc)

I looked at the Quicklaunch Android apps and they don't seem to be the same.

    2. what are some of the better weather apps?

That's standard in Android. No special app required: just long-press the contact you want, and a list of choices will present itself.

I use the (free) Weather Channel app. Comes with widgets for your home screen.

I use "Weatherbug Elite" I love it. It does cost like $3 a month. They do have a free version though.

Weatherbug Elite is a $1.99 one time charge, there is no recurring $3 a month charge.

For something similar to QuickLaunch, check out Folder Organizer.

I used WeatherBug on my Storm and I use it on my Android devices too. It's good for me but something else may be better for another.
