Is there any way to launch an application when clicking on a certain file type?

Aldiko (a decent ebook reader) supposedly has a feature which allows you to click on an epub file in the browser, and then select "Aldiko" from the "Complete Action Using" dialog box. However, whenever I click on an epub file in the browser, the only dialog box is the "save as" box.

Thanks, Carl.

not familiar with the app. but it may be that it only work once you download the file... do you have a file browser? such as 'Astro' or 'oi file manager'? seems more likely for it to prompt you to launch from within those.

ie: navigate your sd card from 'astro' or 'oi file manager' to the file you want to open. then your prog will be a prompt for opening.

Thank you for your response. It turns out that it was actually working as intended. The "save" file destination was my Aldiko folder, and any epub which I clicked on was being imported into Aldiko, so this was user error!
