I have the standard HTC People and Messages apps and both Facebook for HTC Sense and Facebook for Android. I have changed view in People to only display phone contacts (not Facebook & Gmail) and would like to do the same for Messages so that only the numbers and emails saved to phone contacts show when composing a new message (with no additional, auto-synced Facebook & Gmail contact info from random people I would never message).
Tried going to Accounts & Sync but could not remove Facebook contacts from Compose Message screen. Then removed Facebook for Sense account and attempted to add Facebook for Android account-- but it refused to show in Accounts & Sync menu as it had for Facebook for Sense.
At the end of the day I would like to have contacts I choose to put in phone linked with their Facebook in order to show their picture in People, display their birthday, etc. But I do NOT want contact info from Facebook or Gmail to display in People or Compose Message for anyone I did not manually choose to put in my phone contacts. (People and Compose Message list should mirror each other).
Is there any way to make this happen?
Also, which should I keep: Facebook for Sense or for Android?
