I did a factory data reset on my phone and now neither my Windows 7 nor my Vista computer are recognizing it when it when I plug it in. I've tried it with "USB Debugging" mode on and off.

Can anyone help me with what's going on?

Hi, first i want to say that i am not a very experimented guy with androids but i will try to help you. At my first usage that was happened too with my phone but i have made this:

Settings > Aplications > Unknown source (checked)

Settings > Aplications > Development > USB Debuging (unchecked)
Settings > Aplications > Development > Keep Active (checked)
Settings > Aplications > Development > Accept false locations (checked)

after you do this connect your phone through usb cable. This working for me. You can try to restart your phone maybe some services are not started.

    sorry for my bag english.

The only one of those settings that I see on my phone is the "usb debugging" one. I don't see those other options.

I've tried it on a 3rd computer, this one a Windows XP machine and got the same results, so I'm pretty sure it's not an issue with the dirvers on the PC. The message I get is that "a device connected to this PC has malfunctioned".

When you turn off USB debugging, did you try to put it in mass storage mode (sometimes defaults to Kies)? Will it connect at all when in recovery mode? Or at least download mode?

I tried a few times to get into download mode and couldn't (maybe I'm not doing it right). When I connect it I don't even get as far as it prompting me what to do (when I have it set to "ask"), and in debug mode it just doesn't seem to do anythign except show the error on my PC.

Dont know if this helps but you have to take off kies and set it to connect as a mass storage device (Or ask on connection) after go to settings apps development and select usb debugging on. then plug in your phone and pull down your notification bar and select usb connected.

I was set to "always ask" by default, but I did try a couple of the others and nothing worked. I think the error was preventing it from ever hitting the phone's software. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I've got a warranty replacement on the way...hopefully that one will fix me up.
