Conecting to BlueTooth

I got a Jawbone for my last phone and have been attempting to pair it with my newer LG Optimus Regard running 4.0.2., the LG cna not detect the Jawbone. Is there a way to set the conection to pick up the Jawbone or am I stuck with another useless piece of equipment?

Are you positive that the jawbone is in pairing mode? And you may need to make the phone visible before it will work
