Hi I already rooted my phone with amonra and installed ROM Manager. In ROM Manager I ran "Backup Current ROM" successfully. Will this do a backup of the entire phone? What is the difference with this backup and NANDroid backup?

Also, I tried installing titanium backup and it said it cannot acquire root privileges and saying to verify if ROM is rooted and includes busybox. Does it mean I need a custom rom installed?

Also, what is the difference between rom manager's backup and titanoim backup?

Thanks!

Theres an faq in my sig that answers most of these questions.

However,

ROM manager IS a NANDroid backup. Its the same as the one you run from recovery (which is what I recommend you use- not a fan of rom manager)

NANDroid backs up the entire NAND chip (i.e /data, /system and /cache partition - ROM and data). It is essentially a snapshot of your phone completely.

Titanium just backs up data and settings. Always best to do both.

Have you pressed the problems button in titanium to update busybox yet?

Thanks very much! I understand now. Titanium backup is just for data and settings and ROM manager and NAndroid bakcup makes a backup copy of the entire phone. I pressed the problems button and it downloaded a compatible busybox.

Thank you guys!
