I thought I read something about Skype no longer being compatible with Fring, so no more video calls w HTC EVO. Then, I read about people making video calls with Fring. I don't get it. This is confusing. Can we make video calls ?

Yes you can video chat! and not just fring offers this service, we have plenty of other apps to video chat. like qik, imovicha, and now tango which personally i think is the best.

Fring to Fring works for video calls I believe. I use iMovicha4EVO for video calls from phn to desktop over 3g since Fring removed Skype.

Stick with Fring. You can do it with people who have iPhone 4 or of course people with Galaxy S phones.

Apparently, some of these app do some things, and others do other things, so, they do not all do the same thing.

Is there an App that makes 2 way video calls to another evo, and to a laptop, and to an iphone 4G ?

    Thanks

What's wrong with the native Skype app that's in the market?

My pleasure! It's really easy to set up. I put it on my friends' phones when I see them and sign them up really quick so we can try it out. It's a good product.

How does Fring do "all of these"??

I have been all over this issue and there is no cross functional app that provides video chat service.

Fring doesn't have a PC App. Fring doesn't support Gtalk, or Skype for video calls.

Skype, doesn't have a video calling feature on the EVO. I have it downloaded, unless I am missing something?

iMovicha is a pay App I recollect? Not that this is bad, but it just seems like that Gtalk, should be the natural choice Skype a close second.

Tango, I have not heard of, looking into it now...

Ditto, Fring does not let you talk to a PC/Laptop.
    Fring is another dead end.

Yeah, would like to find an app that does this also. I guess I'll try Fring in the meantime.
