I want to buy an external harddisk (2 TByte) for connecting my laptop (Windows 10 pro) and also to my
tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (Android 6.0)

Is this possible? What is the best way to connect via USB 2.0/3.0 or wireless?
Are there restrictions or do I need special app's?

Just make sure to use the USB 3.0 port, because if you don't, it will be painfully slow...

Nothing is faster than the USB unless you have that hard drive connected to a Network Driver which can then transfer at LAN speeds.

WiFi is not a good choice usually, as it will just about cripple your local WiFi network when that big hard drive starts backing up.... Unless, you use a backup app that detects activity, and stops and waits until the system is quiet for 5+ minutes....

Allway Sync is what I use for that.
