If I am using some style of connect to pc software ex. PhonemyPc does it use my home internet connection's ip address when going to websites?

I suppose what I am asking is if there is any difference between my being in front of my computer using the internet and using my home computers internet via PhonemyPC? Will the websites I visit see the same ip address?

Yes it will be your home pc's ip addy. All you're doing is directly controlling and viewing your pc.

I love that software btw.. Iphone nerds at work hate me for it.

fUry is exactly correct. While using PhoneMyPC and browsing the internet, the PC is accessing the internet exactly as if you were sitting at the keyboard. Then, there is another internet connection--either directly to your phone, or to our servers and then to your phone--through which your PhoneMyPC session runs.

No website can tell the difference; from their perspective, you are at your PC.

The PhoneMyPC just works great! I was able to e-mail myself some missing files that were on my home PC that I had forgotten to bring with me. Just awesome. What would be a really great next step is to have the software on the controlled PC also be able to be accessed from another PC so you don't need to have an extra remote access program running on the PC.
