Connecting Tablet to gmail account

wireless carrier is Verizon via router M142WR
attempting to access existing gmail account on Poscan Tablet.
when I input my gmail password, the tablet display say "unavailable".
I have tried two other tablets, same results

Check the text carefully on the screen you're working on. Are you trying to log into a Gmail account? Or are you trying to create one? Or are you trying to log into an account on a different email provider (not gmail)? Verizon email and gmail email aren't the same thing.
