Help connecting to wi fi

I connected a new modem, its def got Wi-Fi, but neither my tablet or phone will let me get to the "connect" choice, I know the password is correct, its printed on the modem, any ideas would be appreciated.

Can other devices connect, like a computer? Have you tried restarting the router? Is it regular home internet? Does the new router require any configuring, e.g. something like this, which is for the network on our school campus.

We have put those details into the WiFi router setup, otherwise nothing connects to the internet.

Clear out all Wi fi information and reset router by powering it off and then on again. Then turn you device on and then enable WiFi. Let it search for your router, Then when it locate your router put the information that's needed to connect the devices.
