I can't help specifically with the Huawei P40 Lite, but you should be able to use Samsung's Galaxy Wearables app to set up the watch as described here:

Make certain that you have Bluetooth enabled in the watch settings. It should show up as a device in your phone's BT discoverable devices.
Choose the watch and follow whatever procedure that's prompted to marry watch to phone.
