Connection problems?`

Anyone else having problems? I updated to 2.1 on my hero about a month back now, and ever since had the odd little hiccup - but recently a lot of the time my texts won't send - even when I have full bars - and it takes a few automatic retries before the text finally sends.

Over the weekend I also struggled to make calls...

Anyone else have problems like this at the mo??

Anyone else on Orange in your area experiancing the same problem. If not try logging off the network then back on again, then reboot.

Tried rebooting loads. My fiancee is on Orange (and lives with me) on an X10 mini and her texting works fine. Like I said...it seems to be since the 2.1 android update.

I know we've had loads of data connection issues recently but nothing as far as I know with voice/sms data...

Are you still having the problems?

I still have problems as well when I have a full signal but my phone won't load the internet etc. The thread I've linked to above explains a few more of our problems.

I've always had the intermittent/mood swing issues with Android since I bought the G1 back in 2008. Where the phone all of a sudden doesn't like making calls, or doesn't send texts even with full bars of signal..


I personally don't think it's an Orange issue, or even a Hero/Software version problem.

I still have the issue on the G1 with 1.6 on, my 2.1 Milestone and 2.2 N1..


I'll keep an eye out for anything internal that might help but apart from that, im as clueless as anyone else :-/

No worries mate.

But I have to say all these problems started since the 2.1 update... my phone worked 100% upto then - and people on the facebook group have reported this as well. It's definitely an issue...

HTC Desire running 2.1 on Orange, Twicca and Weatherbug can't connect today. Calls, texts and internet seem to be working fine. Rebooted but still having a problem.

Yeah, but it's already been updated to use the new twitter login. Anyhow, connection problems only lasted until the end of the afternoon, all is back to normal now.
