I'm setting up my wife's Intercept. Installed Juice Defender, Handcent, and free version of Launcher Pro. So far everything is working well. She wants a very quick way to access calling/texting her favorites. Is there a Contact Manger program that could have individual icons for each person that I could place on an empty home screen? So, wouldn't have to open the app, just go to the home screen where there would be multiple favorite people icons. I wonder if Launcher Pro Plus has this feature?

I'm going to try Contapps as this looks like it might work. Not sure if I have to first open the app and then select favorites. She's trying to minimize the number of hits before dialing/texting.

Thanks in advance for your help.

On my phone, Nexus one, you do this by adding a shortcut to a contact. Long press empty spot on the home screen. Select Shortcut, Contact then pick the contact.

Also.. check out my contact manager app Komodo Contacts!

launcher pro and even the default launcher can do this. Long press on a empty place in a launcher screen, select shortcuts then you can select either direct dial to dial that persons default phone#, direct message to sms to the default or contact which will go to that persons contact page. Once you select a contact for any or those, the default picture will be your launcher icon.

I'm using Contapps for that reason too, found it to be the easiest to set up, using both the app itself and the smaller widget.

I've also used syncmypics to sync my facebook photos to my phone so it'll be easier to see who i'm calling.
