I was setting up a new contact and took a picture to assign it to them. Even though it is now showing up, it doesn't look like it got saved to a photo album. Do you guys know where to find that picture is located so I can keep a backup?

Only way *I* know is to take the picture using the normal camera app which then saves the image in your photos. THEN assign it to a contact - the phone makes a tiny copy of the photo to use as the contact and I am not sure they can be backed up or anything.

AFAIK it gets saved in the sqlite database used for all other contacts data. But if you create the contact as Google type, the picture gets synchronised with your Google account as well. Go to www.google.com/contacts, log-in and check.
