Help Contacts from HTC backup to Huawei

Hi guys I wonder if someone can help.

I lost my HTC recently and have replaced it with a Huawei. I have a backup folder from my HTC in dropbox, does anyone know if I can recover my contacts from this and put them on my replacement phone?

What did you make the backup with? Vendor-specific backup tools tend to be just that, vendor-specific (which is why I don't use them even if I have no intention of changing vendors at the moment).

I take it you didn't sync your contacts with Google, because if you did then you can just re-sync them to the new phone.

I used HTC sync manager.

Unfortunately not, I thought I had them synced with google but it was clearly only some of them
