I am setting up a new HTC one phone.
In the contacts it shows all the contacts that google has generated automatically (a contact for every e-mail address ever used ) I would like to not see / filter out these contacts.
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi, welcome to Android Forums.

Open your People app and tap on 'Phonebook' at the top right. You will see a list of all your contact sources with a tick box to the left of each one. If you have more than one selected you will see 'Multiple sources' underneath 'Phonebook'. If you have just one source selected then that will appear underneath 'Phonebook'.

By using 'manage contacts', found in settings (3 dot icon top right), you can organise your contacts as you want them and then select the source/s you want to display in your phonebook.

    Hope this helps.

    :)
