Anyone else having issues with their contacts not showing contact photo's that is stored on Gmail, it was fine this morning, now all images are not showing on my phone contacts, I did do a sync, but still not showing. If I log in to Gmail from PC contact photo's are there. I was playing in the contacts settings on my phone, but never really did anything. Anyone has any thoughts.

Update: I looked everywhere and could not find a solution. So I decided to delete my Gmail account and then set it back up again and all contact photos are back. So now you know what to do if it happens to you, cheers.

Hello, I found this and hope it may apply and help,

Google contacts sync troubleshooting: Android | T-Mobile Support

This part, particularly, caught my eye:

On a personal computer, log in to the Gmail account at www.gmail.com.
Verify that the contacts have been stored properly in the Gmail contact list.
If contacts are missing select the More Options drop down menu.
Select Restore Contacts.
Select Restore.
Select the time to restore contacts back to the Gmail contact list.
Verify that the contacts have been restored.
From the device, re-sync the Google contacts.
Verify the contacts are viewable in the device contact list.

You have to be on the Contact Manager area of Gmail and you will see the More dropdown next to the add contacts.

Hope it helps! :)

Yep thanks, I had already tried that but still was not showing my Gmail contact photo's on my device, I even tried clearing data, cache and force closed the contacts apps, still no luck. Deleting the Gmail account and setting it back up was the only thing that got them back on my device. ;)

Weird thing is this happened out of nowhere, it was fine this morning.

I'm glad you got it fixed. I doubt if I would have thought of deleting the account off of the phone. :)

Though I might have restored a nand backup or flashed a new rom. :D

That was the issue, even though I booted in recovery and clear Cache and Dalvik, I really did not have an option to restore a Nandroid, as the last Nandroid I have was when I flashed Whomp and 3 months ago, I have not had the need to create another back up since, I guess if all else failed I would of. But I had a gut deleting the account and setting it back up again might work. ;)
