sorry if u know about this already

i found that of you hold down the menu button, the keyboard pops up for you. so if you open an app or page that has the typing field at the top for example, you dont have to reach up there and tap inside to get the keyboard which i noticed needs to be done sometimes. you just hold menu key and keyboard pops up.

    cool

Good tip. Here's another. If you hold down the search button it will go right to a voice search.

Figured the search button and menu button out on day one, but thanks for posting for others. The menu button is helpful for one handed use when the text field is at the top of the screen - I love the size of the phone though! ;)

Ha! I figured it out, but assuming it was like the iPhone new OS I thought it was the currently running apps. I kept using ATK on them like ...'WTF, why won't these DIE?!?!'

Pressing the home button while on the home screen has the same function as pinching the screen to bring up the thumbnail versions.

In browser (both stock and Dolphin) the keyboard does not pop up with a long press of the Menu key, perhaps because I'm using Swype keyboard? In Dolphin, long press of Back burton brings up clear cache and history dialog.

Wasted opportunity: in calendar, long press of Menu brings up keyboard, but you can't actually type anything. Should be like the old Palm OS where typing a number in the calendar started creating an appointment at that time.

In Note Everything, Menu-long brings up keyboard and typing starts searching for notes. Not bad. In Palm OS typing in Memo app would start a new memo

Is there any way to have the "home" button bring up MORE than just 6 apps? I've seen pics with a whole screen full of the last used apps.

    Thanks

Another tip: Holding down the bottom right or left of the screen will make the light leakage go away. :p

  15. This is what kind of an accessory, again?

I'm thinking that was probably just a customized home screen...
