Just hold your thumb down on the text until a window pops up. Lift your thumb and two green handles will appear. Drag the bars over what you want to copy and paste by selecting the paper that pops up in the window. Any text or email window works almost the same way. Hold down your thumb and a window will appear and ask you what you would like to do.
your right didnt realize that it works on the stock browser BUT not in stock mail or messeges or on skyfire browser either . doesnt work if you want to copy paste a phone number from contacts unless you go to edit and copy the entire line
Ok, so what about copy/pasting emails? I've tried holding down on text and forwarding and doing the same but it doesn't work. I need to save some booking info on a notepad cos I don't wanna use internet roaming when I'm abroad. Or is there a way of saving emails to read them offline?
Am I missing something here - from the gmail app - you have a message, how do you copy text from the body of that message? Long press does nothing for me.
Gmail copy paste is weird. You have to go to menu-more-select text and then slide over the text you want to copy. Be warned -- you only have one chance. As soon as you let go, it's in the clipboard. Most other programs follow Sense copy paste, but Gmail doesn't.
