Help Copy root folders to external SD card?

Hello,

I would like to copy the root folders in / to my external SD card which is about 16GB. I have a Galaxy S3 mini and I can't copy the sys folder and some other folders like data in Root Explorer. It tried changing the permissions and mounting it as R/W but it still didn't work

Could I use terminal or anything else?
