What's the best free app that will allow my to copy and past text?

Do you mean copying and pasting certain blocks of text within an email for example or do you mean actual full document files being copied and pasted into a different folder? If you mean the former, then Android can handle copying and pasting already.

This article is the one I used to learn how to copy and paste text and I am sure it still applies now: Android Tip: Selecting Text to Copy and Paste Without a Keyboard|Gear Diary . If you need to copy and paste full documents into different folders on your Sprint HTC Hero, then you will need a file manager. I would recommend something like Astro File Manager.
