Corporate email will randomally stop syncing

    I have user with a Droid Turbo connected to corporate email (exchange) that randomly stops syncing emails. I have confirmed that the password has not expired and the data on the device is still working. If I hit sync now it says it synced but the email does not update. I’ve cleared the cashe for the email and had the user re-enter their password but nothing works. The only thing I can do is to delete the Account and re-add. The problem seems to reoccur every 3 or 4 months. Any thought what I may be missing?

    Is this an Active Sync account of do you access's via IMP or EWS?

    If it's Active Sync try using the email app Nine. If you use IMAP of EWS try K-9, Maildroid. Or my favorite by far, ÀquaMail.

    It’s Active sync, unfortunately corporate rules prevent me from using a third part app for the email.

    Turn out the problem was a bad SIM card from Verizon while I was trouble shooting the email problem the IM card failed completely. I replaced that and the email problem went away.
