If I make a spelling error when typing a text but dont notice it until the text is finished it can be quite difficult to correct. Its a case of trying to insert the cursor by the error and then backspacing. This can be quite tricky. Or is there another way to do it?

On my laptop there are directional arrows which allow me to take the cursor back through the text without deleting letters on the way. Is there an equivalent on the phone keypad?

If you're using the standard keypad just long-press on the ?123 key, if using Swype keypad, "Swype" from the i Swype key to the SYM key.

Jaypeebee's tip above was brilliant. Had missed that.
But when not in an input field - is there a similar way to mark text?
(ever tried selecting a word on f.i. a webb page?)

I know one way to do it in a web page - Menu --> More --> Select text.
I hope this is not the only way:rolleyes:

Well, so far i'm with you. Thats the way to start.
But as you might have noticed it's pretty awkward to then select any text with an acceptable precision. At least if you have a normal blunt fingertip to adress those small pixels on the screen with.

Anybode else have a tip? (besides using a pen sharpener on your fingertip)
