I am wondering a few things about the stock UI.

    1. can you change the icons (not just the apps) at the bottom of the homescreen?

    2. can you change the number of screens in the UI?

    3. can you hide unused apps in the app drawer?

    Thanks!

Thanks but can anyone tell me if they have done it?

    1. Not that I am aware of.

    2. No.

    3. You can make folders and organize your apps that way, buy you cannot "hide" apps.

All of this can be done with a home replacement. I recommend Go Launcher EX.

Go launcher ex with the blackglass theme I find to be the best.

What I did was create a new app group, and check all except the bloatware and other apps I don't use. The app drawer remembers your last group when you open it again, so you never see the others.

Only problem with this approach is that every time you download a new app, you gave to manually add it to the group in order to see it. I would prefer to pick excluded apps rather than included ones, but that seems to be the best Blur can do.

I have also tried fixing #1 and #2, but haven't found any workarounds. I know LauncherPro will fix it but I want to try Blur for awhile at least. LP reminds me too much of my OG. ;)

Not knocking your decision or anything, but what exactly about blur is it you want to keep? LPP only changes your homescreens, app drawer, and icon dock at the bottom. What part of blur would you be missing? You would still have the blur dialer, contacts, etc. I don't find the app drawer to be very good, and the homescreens are exactly the same except you can't change how many of them you have.
