Help Couple of random quirks with 2.2 and texting?

Sometimes my phone will randomly flash the HTC screen and 'reset' (not reboot). Everything works fine, but it started to do this after 2.2. Anyone know what this is?

Also, is there anyway to make the phone vibrate EVERY TIME on a message notification?

If I get a text, reply, and leave the phone on...if the person replies within the time that my screen is still on...the phone won't vibrate. I've fallen asleep on my girl due to this little issue/change with 2.2 and she wasn't very pleased lol.

Don't know about the "reset" problem but for vibrate always on for text,

Menu > Settings > Notification Settings > Vibrate > Always
