I know these aren't really Tbolt specific but more an android related questions, anyway here they are...

    1) Is there anyway possible for me to remove/hide the pre-installed apps on the phone that I will never use such as "Lets Golf 2", V CAST apps, Rock Band, etc.?

    2) The screen that all my apps go to, is there anyway to not be rooted and have another one or more of those screens to kind of organize my apps better?

    Thanks

The only way to remove those is to root. You need root access to remove or freeze system apps like those.

What exactly do you mean? You want more than one "all apps" screens?

Hmmm maybe eventually I will break down and consider rooting it then.

Yes I am talking about having more than one all apps screen. Man if you could customize to change where it says "all apps" to say something totally different would be cool to. But here is the deal. I am a storm spotter/chaser so I want to have all my software for that on a different screen then maybe have another screen for "games" then possibly even a third one for "gps apps".

If you want to just hide the unwanted apps you can try another launcher. I use launcherpro plus and it has a hidden app draw I just put all the carrier bloatware in that so I don't see it. Also with lpp you get the widgets (not available in the free version) these widgets are sense like and remind me a lot of htc sense except with a nicer customizable scrollable dock bar.

As for the screens, how many do you currently have? I believe sense allows a total of 7 home screens. On one of your screens doesn't matter which pinch the screen with you thumb and index finger like pinch to zoom and see how many screens come up.
So you can customize 7 different screens so you have a screen for your storm stuff then maybe a game screen etc.
And if you want to move the screens around without moving all the apps one by one do the pinch to zoom to bring up the screens then long press on the screen you want to move and drag it to the new spot you want it in

The only issue I am having with this, unless there is a correct way of doing it for what I am looking for, is that when I move the icon over to another window it makes what I guess I would consider a shortcut. I would like to move the icon to another window and thus free up space in the "all apps" window. Is that possible?

If by all apps you mean the app drawer that shows all the apps on the phone then no not unless you root and remove unwanted apps that the carrier preinstalled on the phone.

Im not sure if I am describing this right or maybe this is just one of those things I dont understand correctly...but on a PC (Windows) you know how you can either make a short cut to something or move the icon for the app entirely somewhere else? Well I guess what I am looking to do is to move, for instance, the "Angry Birds" icon to another screen and by doing so that icon is then removed from the "all apps" window instead of having duplicate icons for the same thing just on different windows, thus being shortcuts. Does that make sense? Maybe it just doesn't work this way on phones...lol

All apps=app drawer moving the angry birds icon to a home screen creates a short cut instead of having to go into that app drawer and look for the app you want to use. If you remove (uninstall) an app it will no longer be in the app drawer and therefore would not be on the phone (so no shortcut can be made on any other screen)

Check out an app called "Apps Organizer".

You can create labels, and give each app a label or even two or three labels. You then can create folders, using widget feature, and put them on your desktop, so you have a folder with the games label, another folder with gps apps label, etc.

What's great is, any app can be in more then one folder! You can even customize the look of the folder. I have a folder called "News", where I store all programs that bring up news articles for when I"m alone, having lunch, and I assigned a newspaper as the icon for that particular folder!

    Great program!

Well thanks again for the help. I ended up trying launcher Pro and Apps Organizer and in the end I kept Apps Organizer. They were both great suggestions but to be able to organize and "group" everything together and then put just those folders on the home screen really streamlines everything...If I want to play a game I can click "Games" and all the games come up. I don't have to go looking for it.

Thank you both again for the help.

Just a side note, I haven't played with the app organizer but you can create folders on your homescreens without an app. Just long press the screen and folder-new folder then move to apps you want to the folder. To rename the folder open it then press and hold where it says folder in the upper left. If this is similar to the organizer app then you won't need the app and therefore would save space on your phone.
