Root CPU speed while charging?

I have my profile in setcpu down to 600/125 (running chevy 800mhz ulow) when charging to keep my phone from getting to hot (yesterday in the car with gps on and screen on bright it got up to 47C or so). When i plug it into the USB port on my computer, it goes down to 125 when idle. When its plugged into AC it hovers @ 400 and doesn't drop, same with my car cig lighter outlet charger. Anyone else experience this? I think it would partially explain the heat.

in setcpu you have to set it up to sit at 125 on the low for all the charging options.

mine wasnt changing profiles at first until i changed the priority level of all the different profiles. Im new to this so i have no idea but it is something to check/try.

And now I went back to chevy 1.1 low and it won't go below 550
Anyone out there rooted that could throw ur phone on the charger and see what setcpu says ur runnin at?

I plug mine in and it runs at 550 max 250 min. But it stays at 550. If you want it below that when charging you will probably have to lower the max to what you want.

That's what I'm sayin. I can lower it to 125/125 in both the main screen and profiles and it stil won't drop.
