so much for gorilla glass. first time I drop it....CRACK! it's really not that bad. couldn't even see it at certain angles on certain colors. I'm in Atlanta. anyone know of a good place to get repairs.

check ebay, but you might want to just use your warranty in the store also, never know what might have got mess up internally.

yeah. I've got a really nice 30$ case on it. i will say one thing though. any other screen would've cracked into more pieces. I've seen iPhones that looked like a car wreck from one drop. on my keyboard it cuts through from the letter w downwards to the letter x and farther down to the home key.

it's very thin and contained. some people did not notice.

it's a shell combo. first a latex body glove goes on.then a thick back price goes on which snaps onto the front piece. the front part extends 1.5cm outwards to prevent the screen from scratching anything or touching anything.

it has a kickstand that snaps out. not sure of the brand.bought my esteem used. came with case. it's not a Trident though .

Gorilla glass is mostly meant to protect against scratches. It does flex and that can cause the screen below it to get cracked. What did you drop it on and from how high though?

it was on my lap when I was in the car. got out, and as I stood up to take a step forward I ended up dropping the phone from my lap( forgot it was in my lap) and actually, I stepped on it too, it was dark. :'(

+1 I used to have 1 of those bricks as a backup. That thing was older than me and through all the abuse I put it through it never broke. I loaned it to my brother and told him no matter what I wanted it back. The next day he said it dropped and broke into pieces and threw it away. He hit the floor and broke too lol

It doesnt help that the esteem is so heavy either.

Anyone got instructions on how to change the digitizer?

I would find a disassemblely guide for the Rev or esteem online and just kinda modify the instructions to get to the part you need :)

Don't go in and just start taking it apart or you will end up losing a piece or accidentally breaking a connector ;)
