I managed to drop my week old phone and crack the top right hand corner of the screen, this is annoying but it has affected the digitizer. There is a band in the centre of the screen that no longer responds to touch. Its about 1.5cm wide. I will try to live with it but one problem i am having is that i cannot remove widgets from the bottom of the screen as i cannot drag them through the central band to the top of the screen to remove them. Is there any other way to remove something from the home screen?

You could use a Bluetooth mouse and drag the widget to the removal area. Or you could get a remote desktop client that allows you to navigate your phone from your computer.

If neither of those options work out for you, you could download the free trial of "Ultimate Rotation Control" and remove the widget in landscape mode.

Can you not fling the widget to the top with the space you have?
