I'd like to automatically add a contact if the caller is not in my contacts number list. The ultimate goal is take one call and if it is junk, edit the contact so it is in my blocked call "group".
Not interested in writing the info to file, just adding to my contact list.
    Thanks.

    Hi shkc,

I've done a little bit of looking, and I don't believe what you want to do is possible. Tasker doesn't have the ability to write to the Contacts store; it's only able to read it. Sorry :(

I've just converted to PixelPhonePRO in place of the stock phone. It is feature rich. It has the ability to add a new contact from an incoming call not in your contacts with a single button click. It stores them in the # section of the contacts list.

This might address your need without Tasker.

It's possible. How I do it is have Tasker write a file in the VCARD format, which your phone natively supports. Then I think it was under Secure Settings, I opened one of the "activities" that was listed under contacts, and is does a little scan and the number saved into that file is now in my contacts.

I'm super tired so that probably didn't make much sense, I will check out the profile when I get to my phone and post it if needed

I've been away, so haven't tried your suggestion, but makes sense.

Hi, could someone please help me understand these two last steps?
I tried autoshorcut but it only opens the Contacts app?
    What is "People Data" ?
