    Hi All

having just replaced my Desire with the One X I'm rebuilding my collection of apps. I've been using Astro as a file manager on the Desire but I'm wondering if there is anything better now. I just really want to explore the phone and also Samba shares.

    Cheers

ES File Explorer is free and uses Samba shares to connect to windows network server shares. It works well but you need to state your fully qualified domain suffix in the connection properties. E.g. mydomain.com

I don't like File Expert so much and some of it is now pay to play.

I don't like the Astro user interface.

I'm not rooted and you may have different requirements if you are rooted.

I use ES. I used to like Astro but they changed it a lot and for me it ruined it. ES does the job nicely.
