I spoke with the 3 stores in my area again and they all told me that the 130-150 available Xs between them will NOT be available for full MSRP purchase and will be a privilege made only for upgraders. Well... Best Buy I go. :) At least I've been told by 2 different people at my closest Best Buy that I will have an X available from preordering for full price-matched MSRP purchase. I've found that getting phones from them have always been easy and not pressured (I've done it with my Samsung Omnia 2 and HTC Droid Incredible). I had horrible experiences when getting my Motorola Droid and Palm Pre Plus at different Verizon stores in Indiana.

    *end rant*

The Best Buy stores basically have to price match. It's in their policy.

Mine's only getting 2, and I'm 4th on the waiting list. Trying to find the next best store, but I might have to buy online (I'd rather not though).

Where at in Indiana? I have never had any troubles ordering phones from Verizon stores, I expect no problems Thursday morning either, I bet I will be the first one there.

I talked to a csr at vzw and they told me if i have trouble buying a phone at full retail to call vzw because they're not suppose to restrict phone sales like that. just a fyi

Here is a link to another thread started relating to this.

I was told the same thing by a CSR - NO full retail sales in store on launch day. I was blown away when I heard this. I am ready to purchase 2 new phones for my business to replace a couple of Crap-Berrys and was told I would have to order online.

    Ridiculous
