custom 2.3 vs stock 2.3

so i have recently upgraded to the stock 2.3 rom and got it running nicly but i am some what disapointed with the quadrant scors its only running 1100 max but any way i started this thread to get peoples opinions what is better custom or stock roms please give your reasons and make your arguments

tbh i would rather change to a custom rom i am just looking for some one to give me a little push.
