Root Custom kernel on a stock ROM

Was just wondering if I can flash a custom kernel on a stock deodexed ROM???

Kinda what I was thinking. Just trying to get the wife set up...she wanted to go back to stock....but could use some battery help. So I figgered I would flash her a stock ROM and just wanted to know if I could flash a better kernel for her. Thanks man!!!

yep, try any one of the netarchy toastmod kernels. you can get them in my sig ref#2.

another suggestion is to try mikfroyo 4.61. try the odexed version. it is pretty much stock but it is way faster and smooth then the stock rom. it looks and feels like it is stock. also in ref #2 of my sig.

And strangely....after all of the ROMming I have done....the stock ROM on her phone feels pretty decent. Don't know if it will "gum up" but it will work for her just fine.

I am looking for an SBC kernel for King's GB R4(AOSP). I just flashed a Savage 1.6(?)...not totally sure but I think that is right. I still haven't got a full charge on it but looks good so far. The stock kernel that comes with that ROM is not all that great!!!!

if you want a kernel for aosp try tiamat. i'm sure doofus will chime in here at some point and say the same thing.
