Root Custom ROMs for Tab3

Hi all. I'm a bit fed up with how slow my Tab 3 is and I'm looking to update it. Is anyone here running a custom ROM on their Tab 3?

I'm about to root it and put TWRP on so next step it to find a good replacement OS but there doesn't seem to be much out there, the most promising looks like a port of Cyanogenmod 12.1.
