What's currently the best one out for this phone? I'm tired of the crappy stock ROM.

I've tried Miui, baked snack, cm6 and virus. The fastest by far is cm6 with the 7.6 snap kernel, baked snack is ok for a starter rom. Miui is visually the nicest, but still waiting for the final release. Virus is a good start, cm6 can be a little finicky imo

I would recommend using Meat Kernel
ever since I started using it My phone works like it should from stock
    and supports wi-fi tethering
I personally don't like radioactive froyo cause it's unstable most of the time.

I tried zRom and Radioactive FroYo 1.8.22. Radioactive FroYo is what I ended up going with. Virtually bug free, and works great.

I agree. Radioactive Froyo works great! I'm currently using v1.9.2 and all is well! I am also using stock kernel with it. No issues thus far except when booting and the sprint/android logo collide... Otherwise, it works great!

I've had my best luck with ti-x 1.3 so far . I did the ext3 conversion and everything has been fast and stable. Things have been so good that I'm actually losing touch with the rooting/hacking/rom world. That's bad...

i am using Amstel 2.0 over Meatkernal and works like a charm. almost no lockups or bugs tho the GPS sees to have gotten worse at connecting for SprintNav and googlemaps nav
