Is anybody here running a custom ROM on the LG optimus other than the Rom Zero ? Don't get me wrong, I like it. I found that my phone goes a a bit faster than witht he stock but I'd like to explore and see other custom ROMS. Also does anyone know how to change the font on a rooted phone? I tried an app on the market place and couldn't figure out how :/

I actually was going to work on a gingerbread cyanogen rom today. I posted something about it and tweeted about it (of course I only got a few followers) but never got any replies

It's actually pretty easy if you have time. The main problem I encountered was finding the information and then finding the time to learn about linux. Also the way that some people break things down they expect you to know about computers ( I'm an iron worker down here in florida). So that took a while. I would suggest that you watch some of my how to videos and set up your computer to dual boot windows and ubuntu. I'm in the process of backing up my important files and gonna install the latest version of ubuntu. If ffmpeg works correctly then I'll record most of the process of how I set up my machine.

I've got a guy that's gonna beta test some things for the gingerbread rom for me. So we'll know how that goes.

About the donations don't worry about them if you can you can if you can't you can't. I've been unemployed I know how it is. I definitely don't hold it against anyone.

I'm 37 and an Automotive Technician by day. This means I use computers a lot and have over 70k in tools and technology to do my job. But started using computers at the University Of West Florida in 78-80 wail my mom was a student there. She was majoring in computer science. Which is when we moved to the Space Coast in 81 so she could become a payload specialist. Till Challenger happened. My uncle was writing the software for the main engines till challenger happened. Now no one in my family works with the space program. Well where were we.......... O yea custom roms!!!!!! Well if i could get some help setting up the sdk on my computer and getting it to work correctly. I would be more than willing to try to beta some of this stuff. I try to learn new things every day!
