Do you have the USB drivers for your Phone and ADB all set up on your PC?
can someone please respond to my message on how to install this...im seeing posts about people being stuck in bootloop and i do not want the same to happen to me cuz i only had this phone for a phew days.
Hang in there. This forum doesn't have a lot of members just yet, and most of them have work or school to attend to. It might take a while for someone who has actually flashed the recovery to give you a step by step. I'm sure it will happen as most members here are really, really helpful. It just might take a little while today.
you run the script to install it. thats all.
chino bricked his device by doing random stuff to it
Oh ok thanks guys
hey shabby, what do i do with this file?
thats source, so unless you know how to compile, not much lol
yeah andyopie i hav all tho! what shout i do now?
should i leave my phone plugged in the usb to the computer while still on and run the batch file?
Yay i got it working...thanks guys, you're so helpful
Can we get some help cuz i guess he partially bricked his phone
what are you talking about?
blut twick is talking about me cuz i got cwm to work but now my data wont work and my wifi wont either and we would like to know if i can get it to work again
what all did you do to your phone?
just rooted with no problem and then added cwm and my data stopped
neither one of those things affect data
then why would it stop
idk thats why im trying to figure out what all you did
Did you try to flash a custom kernel (like PlayfulGod's) using CWM? Or did you just install CWM..
i just installed it
The CWM works fine except for me I have to use ADB or the emulator to reboot into recovery, or else it LG logo locks(L3). The lock is easily broken by the hard reset button combo, then boots factory stock. So, I reboot recovery , restore and everything comes back. I think they have a mount that might be misordered from the factory.
BTW: What gives with the _ExternalSD folder? Is it a real partition? I want to format a 16GB SDCard, but I'm not sure just how much to allocate, and where?
_ExternalSD is technically your SD card, where as SD card is your phone's internal memory.
We'll that explains why all the junk has stuffed my phone to the gills.
OK. I've been trying to partition a 16GB card with no luck. I got my phone in fastboot download right now after I lost wifi & data and formatted my recovery into outer space.
Remove Battery, plug into USB
hold Vol Up & Vol Down W/Power
(when Logo starts)
(when Logo stops)
I got CWM via term emulator > reboot recovery
Can I remove the sdcard in fastboot? or must I power down?
Thanks guys for the help!!
fastboot n download mode are 2 different things
As long as your android phone has already seen your sd card, you wont have to format you sd card, that's extra. just be sure you mount your _externalsd and you should be able to backup/restore to/from it.
Hi Shabby Penguin, citric and everyone here on the M+ forums. We're currently exploring development of CWM on the Optimus Elite and despite reading the "do whatever the bleep you want" clause, still wanted to credit you and let you know about our project in case it works.
Please let me know if any of this is not all right with you and you prefer us NOT releasing the build, etc. etc.
Again thanks for your hard work
