Root CWM won't work

So I want to switch from CM7 to PA. When I try to go into CWM recovery mode, it starts on the CWM menu, but no matter what option I select, it just goes to the CWM logo, and does nothing else. I've tried several times, and even tried reinstalling CWM, but the same thing keeps happening.

So what am I doing wrong?

My biggest "endeavor" right now is to acquire a phone with 4.2 or 4.3
The MT has had a good ride, but damn!
