This one is my favorite so far. I was using kaos v24 for a bit then tried tazz v5 and now v6. I know kaos is working on his update too which a lot of people are excited about. (myself included) I'm enjoying the 2.2 roms and the speed. I can live with the very minor bugs some may have.

Running Tazz V5 right now and very happy so far. Love the bluetooth voice dialing. Maybe I just haven't found it yet, but I see no way to have different ringtones for different people. Same for the notification sounds. I think I will upgrade to V6 just to have the softkey lights.

You know, I tried this out a few days ago, and while tazz's work is definitely impressive, I found it to be a little too lag-tastic and buggy to use for my everyday ROM. I haven't tried V6 yet, but maybe I'll boot it up on a spare SD card sometime so I don't have to un-partition again.

But, I don't really feel the need to switch to Froyo. I mean, root has already given us a lot of its biggest features - tethering, JIT, Apps2SD, etc. I don't feel like I'm missing out on a whole lot right now.

Just a reminder: several lines down his post at XDA he reminds us that, even though this is an upgrade, wiping is necessary:

"MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP UR APPS WITH TI BACKUP OR WHATEVER U USE... THIS IS A FULL WIPE INSTALL TO BE SURE EVERYTHING WORKS CORRECTLY"

Many ROM developers advise not wiping when advancing in version number; not so with this one.

Yah... I did a FULL Wipe with V6. I am getting INCREDIBLE battery life now. Having no issues at all with this ROM. The camera thing doesn't bug me since I use a camera to take pictures and not my phone. If I do have to take a picture with the phone, the stock camera works fine... you just don't get a preview. I'm old school... I grew up without a preview! Stock camera still takes the picture, and you can see it AFTER it snaps.

Very happy with V6!

That about the pics coming out well without the preview on the screen is good info, RubberDucker. I admit to not trying to actually take a photo once I saw the goofy non-image on the screen. :D

Did you really grow up with a camera that had no viewfinder? (And that wasn't digital?) Really?

Sounds like you might need to wipe and reflash again. Mine showed up right away.

I'm sad to report that I have moved on to xtr 3.0.3... I loved CyanogenTazz, but it was just sooo laggy for me, much more than stock. I also miss the htc contacts/dialer.

XTR is nice, very very speedy and light, no lag to speak of. Love having more htc/sense. I do miss 2.2 though, especially the smarter market and ease of apps to sd built right in.

So far, really liking tazz v6. First Froyo ROM for me.

POssible issues are batt life. Already down to 68% by 12:30 PM - maybe I need to do a re-calibration for Froyo.

Coming a sense-friendly ROM (xtr3.03) the android email app has its rough spots (Do I really have to sync with ALL of my exchange folders??), but those apps are nice in other ways.

Not sure best setCPU profile. I like to have a wide range (280 - 710) so it can save battery when I am just reading email or news articles, but at the same time, I think this is introducing a lag when I try to flip screens in ADW.

Finally, not loving the android keyboard. Loved the keyboard in xtr3.03. Is there an easier way to insert a comma??
Is it easy to move the keyboard out of xtr and install it on my tazzv6?
