This time has finally arrived. The CyanogenMod 6 Final ROM has been released for the Sprint HTC Hero. If you want direct access to the final ROM for CyanogenMod 6, it is available here: http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/files/category/17-htc-hero-cdma/ . I read about it on the Android Police website: http://www.androidpolice.com/2010/09/19/cyanogenmod-6-0-0-finalstable-for-htc-hero-cdma-released/

EDIT: Oops. I did not notice another thread had already made mention of it. Andygu3's thread already mentioned it here: http://androidforums.com/sprint-hero-all-things-root/179751-updated-rc1-9-18-a.html . It is my own fault for not noticing it. Though his calls it an updated RC1 for CyanogenMod 6 and I have heard it is actually the final release for the Sprint HTC Hero. Also, I put the wrong number of zeroes in the version number in this thread's title and I was hoping a moderator could fix that.

The final release of CyanogenMod 6 is said to be something that is stable enough to be used on a daily basis without issue. So, if you wanted to, you could give it a try.

I would test it out and see if you liked it. You can always go back to your previous setup via a Nandroid backup.

    In my opinion, no.
