I still have my Hero in the box ever since I picked up a Evo, then a Epic. I want to flash this to my Hero, then I'll flash it to the Evo once they get 4G working and HDMI. But what do you guys notice? I seen the new changes which look great. In personal use do you guys think it's better in performance?

oh and does anyone have the gapps add-on?

Just flashed over my nightly, installed newest uncapped, and so far its very smooth. my OC is (screen off 384/480) (screen on 557/730). Before my lowest screen off was 352 and just that little change, absolutly NO lag when turning on phone and unlocking. its instantly fast.

Tried to go up to 768 but it started to get laggy so 730 is my new high.

Now to get flash to work lol

I put my Epic down for a few minutes to flash this CyanogenMod 6.1 on my Hero and I have to say nice :)
It's so much faster and love the new options in settings.
I don't know what this new rom did but now I am able to clock my Hero up to 768. I was only able to get it at 528 at first. It gives me more options to go higher but idk if they will work. I'm not worried about it either. It runs so much faster and smoother. I have every little thing that has to do with speed and performance cranked up. JIT is on, clocked at 768 and stable, opening speeds and transitions are at 8 of 10. Oh and I have it underclocked when the screen is off for battery purposes

If the Hero would of been shipped like this in the first place smh. Love for Cyanogen! Angry Birds runs even smoother now. Oh and now I can enjoy the Gingerbread version of YouTube. I hope we can get the love for the Epic as well. I have 4G in my area so I want to wait until that works with the Evo.

6.1 seems to be running very smoothly for me. no noticeable changes in batter (been off the charger since 8 (530 pm here now) and shows usual battery usage. Text/sms/email all work as it did previously. I cant recreate a single problem some above posters complain about. Ill probably ditch the nightlies for a while now actually
