Has anyone tried the screen protectors from Verizon for this phone yet? I know usually the Verizon protectors don't cover the entire screen from end to end. The usually only cover up to where the black border starts. Just checking to see if the Verizon ones for this are the same

The screen protectors I got from Verizon cover only the touch part of the screen. Not from top to bottom and side to side.

I have the protector from Verizon. You are correct, it only covers the screen, not the entire face of the phone.

Actually, they are only partially correct above. True: the screen protector from vzw doesn't cover the entire face of the device. however, it DOES overlap the actual screen that lights up by like 1/16th of an inch or maybe a smidge more. So, it covers more than "just" the touchscreen, but not the entire face of the device. For $10, I didn't wanna wait and take any chances. they're fine for a while. Plus, it was awesome to take off the OEM shipping screen guard and put this right on. no cleaning required. Yeah!

I noticed at my VZW store that they have a glare-free screen protector (comes with 3 of them) for $15 and a regular one (also a 3-pack) for $12 or $13 (I don't remember which one). Is the glare-free one worth it? I may also wait for an after market solution rather than get a VZW-branded and overpriced one.

I have two DX2 protectors left over, so will try that out first.

I got the regular one from Verizon when I ordered my car dock (nice!), waiting for Boxwave or someone to get a real one out. I figured something was better than nothing. It's not horrible but it should cover the whole dang thing.

This is why I want to try the DX2 ones, since should cover the whole thang (short for dang thing).

Indeed, the VZW screen protectors are really disappointing - they do cover the screen itself, but leaving the rest of the front face exposed is lame. These are really just "universal" screen protectors, and not really dedicated D3 protectors.
Once some others come on line with some 'form fitting' protectors, I'll grab some.

I make my own protectors, which cover the entire face of the phone. Luckily I have a vinyl business so I size them up and machine cut them out of clear vinyl. Saves me $ and gives me the protection that the Verizon covers don't give. :p
