Help "Damaged SD card"

A few days ago, I started getting the "damaged SD card" error whenever I turned on my phone. Taking the SD card and re-inserting it sometimes makes it go away, and other times I have to restart the phone.
I believe that the problem may have been caused when I was downloading an application and it got interrupted. I've heard that can damage the file making the SD card unreadable. Is there a way to just get rid of that file, or do I still need to reformat the card?

have you tried using usb mass storage mode and checking your sd card for errors.

I thought it was just me cause I just replaced a sd card. Don't remember downloading apps tho.

SD cards do go bad sometimes. Try this formatter, it is from the SD card associationm, beyond that I dont think there is much you can do.
